About Mr. Trans Texas 2023

My name is Haras Shirley and I will be representing the state of Texas in the National Mr. Trans USA Pageant. This competition is to grow individuals in their advocacy efforts.Ā 

As a Fundraiser for Out Youth, I commit to raise awareness and funds to support LGBTQ+ youth across Texas. I share the mission and vision of Out Youth to create a safe and affirming space where LGBTQ+ youth receive the support they need to be successful in life, while promoting their physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. I firmly believe that these youths are our future, and it is our responsibility to do everything we can to help them make it to tomorrow.Ā 

When people are housed, fed, receive basic necessity items and are cared for,Ā  things start to become easier and fall in place. I want to be the kind of adult that makes life easier for youths to thrive. Surviving shouldn't be the only goal- that leaves no timeĀ for aspirations or dreams.Ā 

On November 4th and 5th I will be competing in the National Mr. Trans USA Pageant and I hope to raise $10,000 for Out Youth in Austin, TX. Every single dollar counts. Please follow me on Instagram (@haras_elias) for updates on incentives to donate and news relating to the pageant.Ā

Mystery drink challenge (try to identify the drinks blindfolded) Consuming a pizza with whatever (edible and non toxic) ingredients you'd likeĀ

Make me wear something silly for the 5K and 10K runs (onesie, dinosaur suit, dress/heels, etc)Ā

Polar PlungeĀ 
Going completely baldĀ 
Going completely bald through the pageantĀ 

These are only a few of my ideas! All these funds will go to helping Out Youth continue to provide services and resources to youths in Texas.
